Mr. Marshall became the company's chairman of the board in 2009. He is a co-founder, and served as the company's CEO for twelve years. Previously, he was president and COO of Giga Information Group, an information technology advisory company. He was formerly president and CEO of Object Design, Inc, the leader in the object-oriented database market. Object Design was ranked #1 in the Inc. 500 during his tenure as CEO. Mr. Marshall was also a group vice president at Oracle Corporation, the world's leading vendor of information management software, and was the founder of Oracle's consulting services business. He sits on the board of Actuate Corp. and Streambase Systems. Mr. Marshall has a BA from Northeastern University and a MA from Boston College.
Mark Koulogeorge is Managing General Partner of MK Capital, a $250 million venture capital firm which invests primarily in software and digital media. Mr. Koulogeorge leads the firm’s digital marketing technology and software investment practices and has over eighteen years of venture capital experience. Mark’s functional expertise is in developing sales, marketing and distribution strategies to achieve market leadership and in the building of high performance executive teams.
Mark has served on the boards of directors of over 20 technology companies which have generated over $400 million of realized gains for his investors. He has been the lead or first institutional investor in a number of significant technology companies including: Tradex Technologies, (sold to Ariba for $1.8 billion), Aprimo (sold to Teradata for $540 million), Initiate Systems (sold to IBM for $424 million) and The Cobalt Group (sold to ADP for $400 million).
Prior to founding MK Capital, Mark was a managing director at First Analysis and served as a general partner of The Productivity Fund III and The Productivity Fund IV. Prior to his career in venture capital, Mr. Koulogeorge was an Executive Officer of Eagle Industries, a $1.5 billion diversified manufacturer, controlled by Chicago entrepreneur Sam Zell and earlier a consultant with Booz Allen. He earned a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
Joseph T. McCullen, Jr.
Mr. McCullen formed McCullen Capital (“MCAP”) in 2000 to manage and invest the McCullen family assets. A venture capitalist for the previous 17 years focusing on early stage technology companies, he was a managing director of J.H. Whitney & Co. and OneLiberty Ventures (now Flagship). He is a founding investor in Extraprise and other successful companies. Mr. McCullen has served on the boards of metroPCS, TeleCorp, Brooks Fiber Properties, NuVox, Intermedia Communications, CellCall, Eastern TeleLogic, HealthShare, MetroNet (Canada) and Diveo (Brazil and Mexico). Mr. McCullen devoted 12 years to government service, four of them in the military as a young man, and later as a Special Assistant to the President of the U.S., Assistant Secretary and Acting Secretary of the Navy. He is the recipient of two Distinguished Public Service Medals. He holds a BA degree from Villanova University and received a Ph.D. (hon.) from his alma mater.
Mr. Mahoney was most recently chief executive officer at Applix which was acquired by Cognos in 2007. He was chief executive officer of Verbind, Inc., a provider of real-time behavioral analytic software. Mr. Mahoney served as president and chief executive officer of LeadingSide, Inc., an e-business solutions provider. He served as president and chief executive officer of Sovereign Hill Software Inc., and chairman of the board and chief executive officer of ePresence, Inc. (formerly Banyan Systems, Inc.), a networking software company he founded. Mr. Mahoney is currently the Vice Chairman of Datawatch (NasdaqCM: DWCH), and a board member at Varicent, LiveData, Centage, and Perillon. From 1973 through 1983, Mr. Mahoney served as an executive at Data General.
As president and chief executive officer, Mr. Shanker defines the company’s strategy and manages its operations. Mr. Shanker has over 25 years of experience managing technology, professional services, and management consulting services companies. Prior to that, he designed and built complex systems supporting a variety of business functions. Additionally, he has extensive project management experience that has provided him valuable insight into the best practices that drive the success of complex business and technology initiatives. Prior to co-founding Extraprise, he served as vice president and was a member of the Office of the President at Interleaf, was president and COO at Comtex Systems, EVP at Broadway and Seymour, and a director at Oracle. He has a BA from Bates College.
