Job Description:

We currently have an opening for a Marketing Specialist at our corporate headquarters in Boston.  The candidate will support a Marketing Strategist/Account Manager in leading our clients to become more customer focused in their marketing efforts.  This role will be responsible for developing and managing marketing campaigns in a campaign management tool and supporting the analysis of the results.  The role involves translating marketing plans into detailed program specifications, applying business logic to segment customer lists, and developing strategic and ad-hoc reports for management.  The candidate will also support the continual development of more effective business processes and changes in segmentation and fulfillment strategy.

This role requires an individual who has a strong understanding and relevant experience with database marketing principles and applications.  This role also requires someone who is very hands on and enjoys utilizing leading campaign management and analytics applications to deliver business results.  This individual will be a key member of a cross-functional team and part of a growing organization.  The candidate will often be required to take on additional responsibility and will constantly be challenged to learn and solve new problems.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Produce and manage customer segmentation in support of marketing efforts
  • Develop and maintain analytics reports
  • Provide analysis and recommendations based on an interpretation of the results

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, marketing or statistics, plus 1-3 years relevant work experience and/or technical training, is required
  • Working knowledge of general database analysis and applications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse group of professionals
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Project

Desired Skills:

  • Prior exposure to campaign management and analytic software or other CRM applications is a strong plus
    Experience in a database marketing environment
